A new four-bladed folding propeller for the S-drive and shafts for engines up to 120hp is also a part of the new technology. The four blader reduces drag by up to eight times compared with the very successful three-bladed one and the most important point is, reverse thrust is fully comparable with a fixed propeller. Tests carried out by an independent marine company showed that the lower drag of the four-blader can boost speed by up to 1.5 knots under sail.
